The California Access brand provides the market with higher-end products, but still with an attractive price compared to more established rivals. A good example is the Panther II CA1029 mouse. The product is packaged in a sturdy cardboard box with a large window with a Velcro closure at the bottom. The box was kept in a typical gaming design, but fortunately it was not overdone with flashiness. Inside, in addition to the “rodent” itself, we find the user’s manual and a CD with software.
Performance and comfort of use
The mouse itself, from the first glance, brings associations with the designs of the most renowned models for gaming fans. This is due, among other things, to the characteristic shape, which is the result of experience in the field of ergonomics, which is very universal and popular among gamers. PANTHER II is dedicated to both left- and right-handed people. This is determined by the asymmetrical shape. Thanks to the balanced selection of materials in terms of their colors and textures, a minimalist design was obtained, which appeals to the tastes of a wide audience.
Versatility and robust design
The product follows the low-profile design principles in a model way. The mouse is versatile enough that virtually anyone will be able to use it with any hand position (including palm). The device weighs 109 grams, almost exemplary in the category of equipment for professional gamers. The device is well balanced, both the shape with contoured sides and the size of the mouse, make it fit very well in the hand. The black color scheme is broken by backlit elements.
Backlighting and buttons
The mouse has backlit elements around the buttons and side panels. The model is equipped with 6 programmable buttons. Located on the side panel, they allow you to freely change the values of the defined parameters. A single button for changing the DPI (+ and -) is placed above the roller. Its position prevents accidental pressing while playing. The large main buttons are comfortable and their use does not cause a feeling of fatigue even after several hours of continuous “clicking”. The element for scrolling the screen with a built-in button, the so-called “scroll”, can serve as a model for the competition. The metal surface with tabs ensures that the finger does not slip on the surface.
